Abstract

The use of Superimposed pluggable architecture for contexts and excerpts (SPARCE) for imposing new interpretations onto existing information was discussed. It ease communications between base layer and superimposed layer. The SPARCE suppots new base applications and context definitions with minimal effect on existing applications, and also supports view content and context of base information from within superimposed applications. It provides three key abstractions for superimposed information management: mark, context and excerpt.
