Squaring Down of General MIMO Systems to Invertible Uniform Rank Systems via Pre- and/or Post-compensators

As the title of the chapter indicates, the goal of this chapter is to transform a given not necessarily square and not necessarily invertible MIMO system to a particular subclass of a square invertible MIMO system termed as a uniform rank system, by utilizing only pre-compensators, and without using any state feedback as depicted in Fig. 24.1.
