Abstract
This chapter explores how multi-rater and 360-degree feedback are used in leadership development. It begins by reviewing the historical roots of 360-degree and multi-rater feedback while defining both terms. Examples of how 360-degree feedback and multi-rater feedback are used for leader development and assessment are provided in organizational and educational contexts. Primary evidence is presented along with additional resources for use. Notes about additional research and biases that influence this feedback method are provided.
