Abstract
As a matter of fact, it causes a big challenge for protocol design to consider the coexistence of sensors and actuators in Wireless Sensor/Actuator Networks (WSANs), especially in automated architecture. This paper proposes a routing protocol, Vertex Matrix Routing (VMR), and designs an extensive simulation to explore the performance of VMR in automated architecture (AA) and semi-automated architecture (SAA). Some preliminary results are presented to demonstrate the difficulties in data collection with distributed multi-actuators and the advantages of using AA.
