The possibility of this themed section arrives with a growing interest in a feminist and social justice approach to Island Studies. The articles contained within, by Māhea Ahia and Kahala Johnson, Aurelien Davennes, and Alma Ouanesisouk Trinidad, represent a considerable expansion of the project of island feminisms.
