Abstract
While Amazon Prime Video reinforces long-standing business practices within the television industries, it also defies expectations for how those practices should operate or generate revenue. Considering the company’s use of entertainment content to attract and maintain subscriptions to Amazon Prime, this article argues media scholars should analyze this company differently.
