Dr. Zhang’s research interest covers corporate finance, entrepreneurial finance, and financial markets. His research works are published in Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions &Money, Small Business Economics, Journal of Technology Transfer, Emerging Markets Review and Oxford Review of Economic Policy. His scholarly works are presented at Northern Finance Association annual meeting, Financial Management Association European conference, Financial Management Association Annual Meeting, Academy of Management annual meeting, Small Business Economics entrepreneurship conference and Canadian Law and Economics Association’s Annual Conference.

Dr. Zhang’s expertise in finance allows him to serve frequently as a referee for internationally reputable journals and academic conferences, including the Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, British Journal of Management, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Academy of Management Annual Meeting and Financial Management Association International Annual Meeting, among others.
