Torunn Haaland

Professor Haaland studied Italian and Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo and received a BA in Media Studies from the University of Wales, Cardiff. She completed an MA and PhD in Modern Italian Studies at the University of Indiana. Her research interests reside in the areas of modern Italian literature and film, as well as in contemporary Italian Philosophy and memory studies. She is the author of several articles in addition to a monograph titled Italian Neorealist Cinema (Edinburgh University Press, 2012).
