School of Health Sciences
The School of Health Sciences at Gonzaga University aims to provide students with opportunities to contribute in significant ways to the field of health care as they research with exemplary faculty, pursue social justice by serving vulnerable populations, and engage with health communities locally, nationally, and around the world.
Our Nursing program, accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education ( http://www.ccneaccreditation.org/ ), offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, and focuses on servant leadership, social justice, community and reflective practice. Students work within the Complex Adaptive Systems framework to explore the essential responsibilities of nursing and the complexity of a health care system that weaves together individuals, organizations, families, and whole communities.
In our Human Physiology program, our students study the complex, interconnected systems that keep our bodies alive and running as they build the foundation for a career in health and allied health fields, research, teaching, and private industry.
And in our most recent doctoral program — Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) — students not only learn to take their career as a registered nurse to the next level, but are able to explore what it takes to be a leader for the advancement of nurse anesthesia.
