Frozen Yogurt and Foundational Research Skills: An Embedded Librarian In First Year English

This program looks at the impact of an embedded librarian in the first year composition course. Extended interaction with the students in the classroom and online through discussions, demonstrations, consultations and newly created digital learning objects allowed the librarian to address concepts and skills not usually offered to freshmen. Four methods of assessment were implemented, including an innovative rubric for describing evidence of information literacy in students research papers.
